Location of Enfield Town Football Club

Welcome to this page about the location of Enfield Town F.C.

Goldsdown Road:

One of the reasons for founding Enfield Town Football Club was to get Enfield senior football back to the Borough of Enfield. All efforts to get a ground have not yet come to fruition. So the ETs will be ground-sharing with Brimsdow Rovers for the next ten years. In the meantime, the club is raising money for a new ground, and is continuously in talks with the council about this issue.

Goldsdown Road is very near Brimsdown Station. It is also served by three bus routes. However, there is quite a bit of parking space if you really prefer to travel by car.

Bus

The 191 route runs from Edmonton Green via Nightingale Road, Alma Road Estate, Ponders End, Enfield, Forty Hill, Carterhatch, Enfield Highway and Bell Lane to Brimsdown Station,

The 307 runs from Barnet (Arkley Hotel) via Barnet Church, New Barnet, Oakwood, Enfield and Ponders End to Brimsdown Station.

The 491 runs from the North Middlesex Hospital via Sterling Way, Fore Street and Church Street to Edmonton Green. From there it runs Hertford Road-Bury Street-Galliard Road-Hertford Road-Ponders End High Street-Nags Head Road-Mollison Avenue-Enfield Island Village to Waltham Cross Bus Station. There is no bus stop. You have to tell the driver you want to get off at Brimsdown Station.

Train
The train from Liverpool Street Station to Brimsdown Station takes approximately 20 minutes.

The journey from Brimsdown Station
Walk away from the roundabout as you leave the station. Turn right almost immediately into Brimsdown Avenue. You will not see any street names at this stage - just turn right into the first road you come to. Cross the road and turn left after walking a few yards into Osborne Road. This road is clearly marked. Please keep quiet while walking along Osborne Road, as it is a nice residential road, and the neighbours of Enfield Town Football Club do not want a lot of noisy people walking down their in front of their homes on match days, any more than you would. At the end of Osborne Road, turn right into Goldsdown Road. You will then meet the courteous stewards, who will welcome you and explain where to go.
