Come On You ETs
Welcome to an unofficial site about Enfield Town Football Club, the most exciting team in the Ryman League Premier Division! Enfield Town FC won the Cherry Red Books Trophy, the Ancient Order of Foresters League Cup, the Middlesex Charity Cup, and the runners-up shield of the Foresters Essex Senior League in their very first season! The following season, Enfield Town entered the F.A. Vase, and reached the second round of the competition proper, losing away to the leaders of the Premier Division of the Jewson League. They reached the final of the Middlesex Senior Cup, and won both the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy, and the Foresters Essex Senior League championship, and that was only their second season! In their third season, Enfield Town finished a creditable fourth in the Essex Senior League, and won the Essex Senior League Cup. They played for the first time in the F.A. Cup, but lost 1-0, a questionable penalty, to Carshalton Athletic of the Ryman Premier League in the second qualifying round! Enfield Town won the Essex Senior League for the second time in their fourth season, but there was no promotion due to restructuring of the leagues. However, they were elected into the Southern League Division One East. They were also runners-up in the Essex Senior League Cup and semi-finalists in the Middlesex Senior Cup. The fifth season very nearly brought the first genuine promotion, but Enfield Town were knocked out in the semi-finals of the play-offs in a match which went into extra time. In the 2011-12 season, Enfield Town won their first genuine promotion after finishing runners-up in Division One North and then winning the play-offs. |
